Defence Force v Police Round 2

Defense Force vs Police Round 2

Our opponent in round 2 was Police FC, with the games played at our home ground, Trinity College, Trincity. The weather was cool, with clouds in the sky. For the duration of the day rain was intermittent, sometimes with a heavy downpour, at times light and for the most part none at all.
The U-14 game started with a bang for us. In the 1st minute of play, we were rewarded a free-kick which Justin Araujo-Wilson promptly accepted and hit the back of the net. The teams went in to the half time break with just the one goal difference. Justin doubled his tally in the 42nd minute to send his team two goals up. By this time Police were losing any grip they may have had in this game and when Araujo-Wilson scored his third to record his hat-trick in minute 64, it was all but over bar the shouting. Come the 70th minute icing was to be added to the cake with goal number 4 from Justin, his beaver-trick. Another victory for our U-14 team who lie second in the standings to San Juan Jabloteh. Keep on battling boys.

Dense Force vs Police Round 2
Our two other games finished with high scores recorded in our favour. The U-16’s also like the U-14’s scored early in their game through Desailly Westfield. The first half was dominated by us, Defense Force, but with no more goals to show for that dominance and with Police equalizing in the 24th minute, the teams went into the halftime break with the score reading Defense Force 1 Police 1. Whatever was said during the interval to the Defense Force’s team worked, they showed more purpose and the willingness to get bodies into the opponents’ goal area. Rewards did not come immediately, but then the gates opened from the 62nd minute with a goal from Justin Gibbons. From there on it became an onslaught on Police’s goal, with them taking the ball from the back of their net another five times. Goals being scored by Michel Poon Angeron (73rd, 75th), Jakeem McNeil (78th), a second from Deasilly Westfield (79th) and Luke Darwent (80th). The game ended Defense Force 7 Police 1.

Defense Force vs Police
Our last match was similar to the first two games with the final score, but the U-18/Reserves waited until the 40th minute to open the scoring through Kevaughn John. John made it a double before the half by also scoring in the 43rd minute. This is how the teams went into the break. Police had a couple of sniffs at our goal, but that’s all they were. The game basically ended in in the 57th minute when Tahj Devenish scored our third goal. Three more goals would be scored after, with Kevaughn John completing his hat-trick in the 66th minute, Jimmelle Ramkissoon (74th) and Aaron Noel completing the evening’s work in the 90th minute. Final score was Defense Force 6 Police 0.
