Disney day 9 & 10

Skhy chilling after a successful tour

Yesterday and today, Monday 20th July are our final days at Disney. Our tournament has come to an end. Our U-13’s reached the semifinal of the Silver category, but lost out in a place in that final. Both our U-11 and U-17 teams failed to get to their semifinals in the Gold category. The effort from most of the players on all teams was tremendous in the searing heat of the Florida sun. We commend them for their attitude, steadfastness and never say die mentally. All would have gained from the experience and hopefully will have learned what it takes to have a chance of being at the top in his sport and as a matter of fact anything that one wants to achieve in life.

We also send Congratulations to Crown Trace FC who also attended the Disney International Cup 2015 and participated in the U-19 division. They made it to the Silver finals and won it, a tremendous achievement and boost I am sure for their morale. Well done.
Today, Sunday, we visited Hollywood Studios. We

divided into groups as normal. In so doing, everyone got around the park quicker and went on the rides or to the shows that each group may have wanted to attend. It is our hope that the boys also gained from the experience of visiting the Disney Theme Parks, because it is not just about the rides; it can also be very educational.

Today, Monday, we made the journey back home. We had our breakfast from the Catering Company; then got prepared for the trip home. Our bus came at 10.30am and we drove out of the Disney compound, Pop Century, at 11.00am. The ride to Ft. Lauderdale airport, from where we flew to Trinidad, took about three hours. Our flight to T&T was smooth, Thank God, and we touched down in Trinidad at 10.35pm.
Thank You to all the parents and family members who travelled with the teams and were very supportive, accommodating and helpful in making sure that all went smoothly. We had a large group of 68 persons which consisted of 41 players, 10 coaches/managers and the rest family members.
Thank you also to all the managers who worked tirelessly in making sure that the boys were always ready and taken care of.

Thank you to, Zane and the staff of Who We Play For, for doing the ECG screening and results for our members.
Thank You to the Catering Company of Central Florida. Christa and the cooks we never saw, your meals and service were excellent.
