Former Real Madrid Star Raúl González Blanco meets SKHYFC Players

Dallas Cup 2016-Day 3.

Former Real Madrid Star Visits SKHY Players

This morning the U-15’s played their game at 10.00 am and the U-14’s had their game at 2.00 pm. Today the temperature was wonderful, cool and pleasant. What was not pleasant was the extremely strong wind that made playing football very tough. Both teams struggled with this incessant wind that gave no respite when kicking against it. Playing under these conditions, even for experienced players is difficult. This in itself has to be a learned art, which a lot of the other teams seem to have mastered, to some extent.

Again the boys struggled, with conditions that were alien to them, but they battled on valiantly as best they could. Both teams went under, defeated but not disgraced. Tomorrow scrimmage games have been organized for both teams at 9.30 am and in the morning other matches will be arranged for them on Friday and Saturday or at least one of those days. Sunday will be a totally free day.

Raul Gonzales Blanco

The highlight of today was when former Real Madrid and Spain forward Raul Raúl González Blanco visited the boys at the ground after the game. He took pictures with them and signed autographs for them. It’s always wonderful when you can literally rub shoulders with someone who was one of the greats of the game. I know it’s an experience they will never forget!
