This morning we had a brief training session for hour, at 8.00am. After training, the boys headed straight to breakfast, which they have thoroughly enjoyed each day. They relaxed for a couple of hours, before we journeyed into the city. The team was on the bus by 2.00pm travelling to the subway on Main Street in Flushing to get to the subway. 

Experiences, experiences, experiences! This was the first for some travelling by train. Our destination was South Ferry, where we connected with the Staten Island ferry. We rode on the ferry to the island, alighted, and then took another ferry back. It took us approximately one hour and half to complete the round trip. The boys got a good view of that end of Manhattan and the statue of Liberty. 

After our ferry ride, we walked to the World Trade Center, Ground Zero, where of course again a lot of pictures were taken and stories of 9/11 were heard. We spent some time there, then we strolled around lower Manhattan and then decided to walk over to Canal Street, China Town, to have dinner. After dinner we made our return trip and off the bed for all.
