U17s Win Carapichaima Tourney

On Saturday last, our U17 and U20 teams contested the knockout stage of the Carapichaima tournament. Both teams having advanced to the semifinals which was played at the St. Mary’s Village recreation ground in Freeport. The U17’s matched up against Cap Off United and the U20’s against Crown Trace FC.

Both were hard fought games which were shortened in time, because the organizers wanted to play the finals on the same evening/night. Our U17’s in the end disposed of both Cap Off in the semifinals by a 1-0 margin and then another brutal game in the final versus Todd’s Road FC, which it won on penalty kicks.

Unfortunately, it was not the same fairy tale ending for our U20’s who lost its semifinal on penalties to Crown Trace, whom it had disposed of easily in the group stage. In another shortened game which ending 1-1, Crown Trace obviously after its loss in group stage were extremely determined not to let this one go easily and it didn’t. Hats off to them!
