Orrin John Baptiste

Orrin John-Baptiste followed through his passion for football when becoming part of the Mucurapo Senior Comprehensive School’s Intercol Team in 1996.

After leaving school, Orrin became a part of the Maraval Youth Academy in 1997.  He was instrumental in contributing toward the promotion of the team into The Trinidad & Tobago Super League.  During his time with Maraval Youth Academy, he also had a short stint with the San Juan Jabloteh’s under 23 team.  In 2003, Orrin was forced to retire after sustaining a groin injury.  Unable to resist his love for the sport, from 2005 to 2007, while employed with the Ministry of Sport and Youth Affairs, he was involved in the planning of Recreational events, and was later on deemed the Captain of the Ministry’s football team.  In March 2008, Orrin John-Baptiste jumped at the opportunity to be a coachh at the SKHY Football Club. In December 2008, Orrin made an important step in his coaching career by becoming a Certified “D” Licensed Coach.
