SHKY is an amateur club which also participates in various football competitions locally. The main tournament for adults is the Eastern Football Association’s League. The youth teams take part in the Republic Youth Cup, the Carapichaima Super League and Edinburgh 500 League yearly. In the past we have also competed in the Northern Football Association (NFA) league and the Eddie Hart League.
The club has been reasonably successful over the years in some of these competitions, with the proof being stored in our trophy cabinet. In the years to follow, we intend to be just as or much more successful. SKHY has participated in some of these competitions for many years. The club joined the NFA in 1999 and has participated in the Republic Youth Cup since 2008. We got our feet wet in the EFA league in 2012. For our teams which don’t play in competitions, we organize games against other clubs, to ensure that all can demonstrate their skills, which they have exhibited on the practice field, in some sort of a competitive environment.
