STEPHAN SPICER – Trinity Baptist College
For the Trinity Baptist College Eagles men’s soccer team, the honors did not end when the Eagles won the NCCAA Division 2 National Championship. The honors continued with postseason recognition for seven Eagles players — all freshman — with four different honors going to one single player. The National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) announced the 2015 NCCAA/NSCAA All-American teams, and Eagles forwards Tresor Mbuyu and Josh O’Hara, midfielder Breno Oliveira, and defenseman Stephan Spicer made the roster for Division II.
As a defender, Spicer did not score any goals for the Eagles, but he was instrumental in keeping the opposition out of the net, particularly during South Region regular-season and playoff matches and throughout the postseason. For this reason, Spicer made First-Team All-American. Congratulations go to these seven Eagles for their postseason honors and to all of the Eagles’ players and coaches on their 2015 NCCAA Division II National Championship.

RASHAD HYACENTH – Belmont University
Belmont University men's soccer players Anthony Torres (Batavia, Ill.) and Rashad Hyacenth (D'Abadie, Trinidad and Tobago) have been named Second Team All-League honorees while Dennis Kluba (St. Louis Mo.) earned a spot on the conference's All-Freshmen team, the Horizon League office announced Monday morning.
"We are excited that these three student-athletes have been recognized by the Horizon League. In addition to their quality play they are three of our hardest working student-athletes and are each very deserving. I appreciate that the other coaches in the league recognized their quality," said Head Coach Bryan Green.
Hyacenth had an excellent sophomore season, as he tied a league high with seven goals and led the team in goals, points (14), shots (69) and shots on goal (29). The striker was a force up top all season for the Bruins. His season highlights included two-goal performances against Lipscomb in the season opener and against Georgia State, both Belmont victories. This is Hyacenth's second post season award of his career, as he earned All-Freshman honors in 2014.
"Rashad was a threat to score every game and as teams started to key on him, he showed his ability as a playmaker. Although he didn't receive credit for any assists on the year, his ability to hold the ball up, and allow his teammates to play off of him was instrumental to our attack, and the results we earned at the end of the year. I am looking forward to his continued development for the next two years," said Green.
