SKHY FC Tour Of Dallas Comes To An End

Well the tour has ended. Another Dallas Cup has come to an end with all finals played and everyone back in their native lands. The U-19 Super group final, which is the top group in the tournament, was contested between Everton FC and Fulham FC of England, with Everton being the victors. Congrats to them, all the various group winners and to all the teams that participated in the tournament. Being able to participate in one of the best youth tournaments in the world makes you a winner.

We at SKHY did not do as well as anticipated, but we will never give up. We will sit, analyze and discuss the tournament and the players. Work on what we consider our weak areas and strengthen them. Next year, 2017, if we make it to the Dallas Cup, it will be our tenth (10th) consecutive year at the tournament and it will be nice to make it a memorable one, by reaching further than we have done up to now.

Our players have to begin to believe in their abilities, have heart and go out onto the field and perform. The Dallas Cup is the best of the best. Therefore, you have to be at your best, in order to compete against the best, to have a chance of being successful in this competition. If I had to select stand out players from our two teams, for the U-14’s they would be Jumaane McNeil and Adriyel Clarke and for the U-15’s they would be Jordan Bedaisee, Justin Gibbons and Michel Poon-Angeron.

Dallas Cup, God’s willing we will see you next year.
