SKHY FC Triumph In Diego League

SKHY FC flying high in Diego League

SKHY FC under 15 team defeated Congo United 3-1 at the Diego Martin Recreation Ground on Sunday. Lleyton Auguste scored two first half goals and Twon Grannum scored late in the second half to help SKHY claim their first win in the competition. SKHY FC dominated much of the first half creating plenty opportunities to go with their excellent work-rate. In the 16th minute Auguste netted his first goal of the night with a beautiful glancing header from the free kick of Twon Grannum. In the 27th minute Dominic Ramdeen and Jeremey Marshall linked up well in the box playing neat wall pass between each other and Jeremey’s shot forcing the Congo keeper to produce an excellent save.

From the resulting corner Auguste scored his second goal with a side foot volley after being totally free in the six yard box. Twon Grannum scored his first goal of the tournament in the 50th minute with a well-timed volley after some great wing play by Kalev Keil. Congo United did manage to pull one goal back in the 56th minute but it was merely a consolation as SKHY finished off the game strongly with 65% possession of the ball. The team will now look to make it 2 wins out of 3 when they face Petti Valley FC on Wednesday 6:30pm.
