SKHY FC lost 4-0 to Trinity College in their final game, but still finished in second place in the Diego Martin Super League.
SKHY started the game against Trinity in second place on the table, trailing first place J.U.S.A Coaching School by two points and with a far inferior goal difference. This meant, they needed to beat Trinity and hope J.U.S.A lost to Petit Valley FC in order to secure first place. This was not to be. The SKHY players appeared nervous from the outset, careless in possession and weak in the challenge. Trinity took advantage of these lapses, ending all SKHY’s hopes of collecting the title.
It was a difficult day at the office for SKHY FC and it looked as though the players could not cope with the pressure of fighting for the league title. However, the players can comfort themselves with the knowledge that they defied expectations of even challenging for the title and entertaining the Diego crowd with their stylish football. Well done team.
The players say, “Thank you to all the managers, coaches, parents and supporters who helped see them through this tournament.”
