Over the weekend, Saturday 29th April, one of our U15 and U11 teams, representing Defense Force, participated in the first round of the Republic Bank sponsored youth competition, in the East. Both matches were played at Constantine Park Macoya. The U15s played Tunapuna Titans in the early game at 9.00am and the U11s played at 12.30pm against Malabar Young Stars.
Both teams came away victorious on this hot, steamy day with temperatures in the mid 30s. The football from the boys was just as hot with the U15s overcoming Titans 3-0, goals scored by Brandon Shallow (16’), Justyn Seabrun (20’) and Justin Mc Intosh (31’). The U11s got a brace from Tau Lamsee (11’, 28’) to get the better of Malabar Young Stars 2-0.
