Youth Teams Have Dry Spell

Not only the grounds are dry and hard, but winning of games have also dried up and seem to be very hard over the last couple of weeks when it comes to our youth teams. Last Sunday at home we played Jabloteh and did not register a single win. Our U13’s lost 2-4, albeit a very tight and hard fought game, with Jabloteh prevailing in the end. Goals scored for Defense Force were own goal (36’) and Christopher Brooks (60’). Jabloteh goals scored were by Nathaniel James (11’, 63’, 68’) and Jaheim Faustin ( 27’).

Our U15’s minus a few players because of national duty and other reasons gave a grand account of themselves, battling to the end, but unfortunately coming away with the result against them 0-1. Jabloteh scoring in the 71st minute. This leaves Jabloteh on top at the end of round 1.

A bravely fought battle in the second half of the under 17’s game was not enough to give a positive result, but the effort was valiant. This is the type of mentality and grit this team must show from the start of every game and they are guaranteed to have better results in the second round of the competition. Unfortunately, once again, they lost 0-2, with Jabloteh scoring both items during the first half.
